Podcast 142: Smiling C

Henry Jones is hunting for overlooked / unknown music for ages. So, at some point, “starting the label was just the evolution of getting way involved in record collecting”. Smiling C “gonna be releasing things from all over, mostly 80s/90s stuff, and it’s a mix of genres”. Henry just put together a killer compilation called A Totally New Sound (the second record on Smiling C) and has ambitious plans to release also “12-inch of a house 7″ from former Czechoslovakian project, a compilation of the South African Disco/Funk group, laid back Ghanaian 12″, and a compilation of a Chicago rap duo” in coming months. Also, admit that 40-50% of the mix he recorded for us is future release stuff 😉
